The problem it exists for
Between roughly five and fifty reps, commission stops fitting in a spreadsheet. Not because the arithmetic is hard, but because the spreadsheet has no memory: it cannot tell you why last March paid what it did, it breaks when the person who built it leaves, and every dispute is settled by whoever is most confident rather than by evidence.
The enterprise tools solve this properly and start around $30,000 a year with a multi-month implementation. That is a rational price for a 500-rep company and an absurd one for a 20-rep company, which is why so many 20-rep companies are still on the spreadsheet.
The one thing it does differently
Every figure opens up. Tap a line on a statement and you see the deal behind it, the credit split that allocated it, the rate that applied and why that rate, and the arithmetic that produced the number, the same view for the rep as for the finance lead.
That single property is what turns a dispute from an argument into a lookup. It is also the hardest thing to retrofit, which is why the calculation engine is built as a pure, deterministic function that records its own reasoning as it goes, rather than a set of formulas that produce a total and forget how.
Decisions we are not going to change
- We never move money. The deliverable is a payroll export. Handling funds would mean money-transmitter licensing that would dwarf the product.
- Approved periods are immutable. A correction is an adjustment in the next period, never an edit to a closed one, so a statement someone was shown stays true.
- Crediting is separate from commissioning. Who gets credit and what it is worth vary independently. Nearly every “your tool cannot model our plan” complaint traces to a product that fused the two.
- No tracking. No third-party analytics, tag manager, or advertising pixel on any page. The content security policy forbids it outright.
Where it is up to
You can create a workspace on the site and start billing without talking to us first. The full month-close loop works end to end, import, calculate, review, approve, publish, export, and is exercised against the live deployment rather than only against tests.
